ABOUT OUR MASTERCLASS
architectural lighting design For construction professionals
Our LIGHT + LIGHTING DESIGN MASTERCLASS, with lighting design expert Adele Locke is a unique opportunity for design professionals, electrical contractors and builders to learn how to use light to transform homes.
The class is an in-depth exploration of light, visual perception and how lighting design impacts our experiences.
You'll walk out of this workshop seminar with a greater understanding how light can and should be used in a home, how to interpret technical data for light fittings and what to look for when creating the layers of light you need in a home.
Each MASTERCLASS has limited seats and you must be working in the design and construction industry to attend.
You must be either in Melbourne or willing to travel to Melbourne to attend as Masterclass is an experiential workshop, held in our Moorabbin Light Studio.
Seats are $950 + GST , including lunch and workbooks. In 2024 seats are being released via email newsletter to our Waitlist first, so sign up below to be the first to know when we release new dates.
MASTERCLASS OVERVIEW
Build a deeper understanding of light
The best advice I ever received about light (from Howard Brandston) was to ask this one question over and over again;
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE?
This masterclass is not about selecting decorative lighting (pendants etc) although we do touch on that subject, it's about crafting the right light throughout a home through understanding how light behaves and how you can control it.
Our interactive darkroom studio allows you to experience the impact of light and see for yourself how the maths and science of architectural lighting design is applied.
Lighting is the final piece of the interior design puzzle – and you must know what you want to see to make the best choices for your lighting design.
