We will explore:

  • The types of lights we use - our tools for design! Where they are best utilised and why

  • Getting more from your energy consumption - it's not just about watts, it's about how you use them

  • Critical Design questions - lead your clients through the design process to get the best results and understand the impact colours and finishes have on light

  • How to best light key rooms in the home including Kitchens and Bathrooms and Open Plan living areas.

You'll receive a design process checklist and workbook so you have all this information at your fingertips following the workshop.

informed LIGHTING choices control the final piece of the interior design puzzle.

Adele will show you the simple and effective maths behind lighting design, explain and demonstrate the science of light and take you through the lighting design process.

You'll walk out of this workshop with the tools you need to start crafting your own lighting plans, making informed selections around light fittings and transforming your clients homes.

IT CAN LOOK LIKE THIS WITH THE RIGHT LIGHTING DESIGN

Don’t forget that you need functional light in the Kitchen, and explore the different ways you can achieve that.

Rooms feel larger and brighter when the walls are bright, and taller when the ceiling is lit. Indirect light is also far more calming, allowing you to be in a bright room, without feeling like you’re under the spotlight. The right downlights, selected for their glare control and quality of light can bring the functional levels you need to your kitchen bench.
