LYONS PROJECT

LIGHT DESIGNED FOR LIVING, AMBIENCE AND FUNCTION.

INTEGRATED, LAYERED LIGHT AND CONTROL THROUGH DIMMING AND MOTION SENSORS GIVE THESE SMALL HOMES ALL THE DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES THEY NEED.

This development of 3 terrace homes into modern family homes was a collaboration with McGann Architecture and Progressio Construction. Each home contains interesting architectural elements such as raked ceilings, double void skylights and integrated joinery for robes into small angular sections of upstairs bedrooms.

By building our lighting into the joinery, we were able to minimise the penetrations to the ceilings while ensuring the home owners can clearly see.

“Magic” light over kitchen islands allowed us to provide all the function needed in the Kitchen without distracting the eye, keeping long visual lines through the living area and enhancing the sense of space in the home.

Indirect wall lighting draw attention to the high ceilings and also soften the home environment, creating a moody, soft layer of light for living. These small family homes feel expansive, warm and welcoming and are a great example of what minimalist architectural lighting design can achieve.
