I decided to go it alone and pursued my love of all things recycled. I made some light fixtures that were a bit cheeky out of kitchen utensils and chopsticks and had an exhibition called 'Sleeping on the streets'. A piece was bought by someone and seen by the late great Geoffrey Mance (bless him too). He said come and make lights for me and I said .......err ok.

I had a dome shade that once fell off the shelf and gave me the opportunity to play with it, I folded and heated and bent it into what became the Vessel pendant, I then started to play with the different metal and stuck with the amazing effects of the copper with heat to give it amazing natural colours.

Mint Lighting Design's Director, Adele Locke, designed for 12 individual sites, each of which had to be linked to the others both visually and via an incredibly complex programming system that runs a 24/7 show of dynamic lighting across the entire forecourt area. Special shows have been designed for important days in the multicultural calendar: Diwali, Remembrance Day, Christmas, ANZAC Day, Australia Day and Chinese New Year.
